1. Mulshi Dam:

Located at a distance of just 130 KMs from Mumbai, Mulshi dam is an awesome destination to camp and spend quality time with friends and family during weekends.

The area is a perfect spot for picnic, with scenic surrounding, unexploited Sahyadri hilly terrains, lush green dense forests and also the ancient forts like Koraigadh and Dhangad.

The dense forest around the dam and lake offer sightings of some rare wild animals. The beauty of Mulshi Lake can be observed from ‘Valanewadi’ – 6 km from Mulshi.

Sahyadri is famous for its deadly hills and its beauty. Both the things can be observed here. During rainy season, water falls on nearby hills are great and must watch locations.

It is situated in a cave and also presence of water all year round makes the temple one of the unique temples not just in Maharashtra but in India as well.

A Shiva Linga of about five feet is situated at the centre of the cave. One has to wade through waist deep and ice cold water to reach the Shiva Linga.

Panchgani is nestled in the middle of five hills in the Sahyadri mountain ranges and amidst five villages known as Dandeghar, Khingar, Godwali, Amral and Taighat.

The Krishna River flows nearby which is what has created the lake of Dhom Dam. Located 285 kilometers from Mumbai and 100 kilometers from Pune, it is the pleasant climate of Panchgani that attracts tourists, not to forget the scenic views one gets from its points.

Kaas has more than 850 different species of flowering plants of which 624 are listed on the IUCN Red List.

If you really want to enjoy the beauty the best time to visit would be between 6 am and 9 am when the sun starts to rise and the early morning climate in the presence of flowers offers a rare sight and experience.
